YBK Publishers, Inc.: "We are a not-for-fee traditional publisher utlilizing only print-on-demand manufacturing and distribution that seeks mostly special-market nonfiction. We focus on material of a mainly academic nature that is of such limited, but market-identifiable, interest as to be economically unpublishable by "regular" publishing houses. We professionally edit every book we proudly publish."

Yellow Internet Publishing: A European publisher that states they'll accept anything for electronic publishing. Works with sufficient web visits might be printed and offered for sale with royalties to authors. Link inactive. Read their guidelines carefully as they do not offer payment at this time.


Ygdrasil Press: Publisher of the Ygdrasil Journal of Poetic Arts and literary collections. Link inactive.

Youwriteabook.com (formerly American Institute of Creative Writing, The): A vanity publisher. 12/9/04: Domain reportedly sold. This business and not the domain name was not recommended by P&E.

Zagros Editions: A publisher featuring work in politics, history, social issues, developmental studies, media, poetry and the arts. We are proud to work with authors who are academics, journalists, artists, and activists. We promote philosophical enlightenment and lead to political and social change.


Zatz: Strongly not recommended. A publisher whose publications include Using XML With Domino, Outlook Power's Big Book of Tips and Tricks for Outlook and Exchange, Websphere Power, Computing Unplugged, and Connected Photographer. This publisher wants all rights for articles submitted to it for no pay and resells those to other publications.

P&E notes that this publisher fails to provide adequate descriptions of its services and prices. Have they something to hide?
